Mission

Our mission is to amplify the voices of neurodiverse individuals—including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological differences—by celebrating their unique perspectives and lived experiences. Through each episode, we explore how they navigate the world, shedding light on their strengths, challenges, and the valuable contributions they make to society.

Vision

The Neurodiversity Voices Podcast envisions a world where neurodiverse voices are heard, valued, and celebrated. By sharing authentic stories of lived experiences, we aim to foster understanding, promote inclusivity, and create a trusted platform where neurodiverse individuals can express their unique perspectives and inspire others. We are committed to continuous growth—exploring meaningful topics, welcoming diverse guests, and evolving the podcast to remain a vital resource for the neurodiverse community and its allies.

About

I’m Paul Cruz, the host, creator and founder of The Neurodiversity Voices Podcast.

I’m not a clinician, researcher, or professional expert — and that’s intentional.

I come to this work as a neurodivergent individual with lived experience. I know what it feels like to navigate systems that weren’t designed for how your mind works, to question your own capacity because of labels, and to search for language that actually reflects who you are, not just how you’re measured.

This podcast exists because too many conversations about neurodiversity happen about us, rather than with us.

The Neurodiversity Voices Podcast is a Vancouver-based media platform that amplifies the lived experiences of neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism and ADHD. Through thoughtful conversations, storytelling, and community-driven content, we create space for voices often overlooked. We collaborate with advocates, educators, authors, researchers, and organizations to promote understanding, inclusion, and accessibility. Our services include podcast production, interviews, speaking engagements, community partnerships, and digital content creation focused on neurodiversity, disability inclusion, and lived experience. We prioritize respectful dialogue, accessibility, and authentic representation across all platforms and collaborations..

Unlike many podcasts in this space, The Neurodiversity Voices Podcast isn’t built on credentials or clinical authority. It’s built on listening, reflection, and shared humanity.

Why Lived Experience Matters Here

Being neurodivergent shapes how I listen, how I notice patterns, and how I hold space. It allows me to ask questions that come from recognition rather than assumption — and to create conversations that feel safer, slower, and more honest.

This isn’t a podcast about fixing people.
It’s a podcast about understanding ourselves, our systems, and each other more clearly.

If you’re looking for expert opinions, you’ll find many excellent shows.

,
If you’re looking for real conversations, grounded in lived experience and mutual respect, you’re in the right place.
